2018 this documentation was published as a revised edition in German:

ISBN: 978-90-829320-0-3
Dynamisch Bewegen: a movement model
In this book, and through the movement model Dynamisch Bewegen® described within it, the author sets out a radically different perspective on the human musculoskeletal system. A vision that does not so much start from the more conventional perspective of the components of this system (muscles, bones and joints), but rather focuses on the continuous interaction and interconnection of these components in relation to the forces acting upon them within the whole of the dynamic system known as ‘the human being’. Following an extensive theoretical introduction outlining the relevant scientific background and concepts underpinning this approach, the second part of the book provides a detailed description of how these principles work and are applied in human movement coordination. The explanation is supported by clear illustrations.
The author has many years’ experience as a physiotherapist, during which she has worked with people with a wide range of movement problems and limitations: from those with severe multiple disabilities to athletes with specific movement needs, and from premature babies to the elderly. The Dynamisch Bewegen® movement model has proven itself in practice as a valuable approach that does not focus on the problems a person experiences, but aims to resolve underlying movement limitations by reconnecting people with the possibilities offered by their individual movement system. Opportunities which, with sufficient understanding of this system, are accessible to everyone or can be made accessible again with the right guidance.

If you really want to gain a deeper understanding of the musculoskeletal system, whether as a layperson or a professional, this book comes highly recommended. The author has gained extensive experience working with various target groups and across different disciplines, as described on her website. Furthermore, in addition to her broad practical experience, she has deepened her knowledge through an in-depth, cross-disciplinary study of the underpinnings of the musculoskeletal system.
Ultimately, she has brought her experience and knowledge together in the practical approach of "Dynamisch Bewegen". It is truly a masterpiece of craftsmanship!
The book provides a clear thread to help you grasp the essence of the movement system. In doing so, the author brings order to the vast amount of information available in this field. What’s more, you can explore the recommended literature without losing sight of the main thread.
I came across Sabine Kern in 2015 during my long quest to regain the ability to walk. Following foot surgery in 2000 on my little toe joint – a relatively straightforward procedure – the orthopaedic surgeon told me the operation had been a success, but I was still unable to walk properly. I then spent years searching for solutions and consulted various doctors, specialists and physiotherapists. No one has really been able to identify and resolve my problem; in the end, my walking was limited to walking to my neighbour’s house down the street, a journey of about one minute.
After two years of therapy with Sabine Kern, I can now walk roughly four times the distance and for four times the duration, and what’s more, there’s the prospect of walking further and with better coordination. Quite a change after all those years of searching and stagnation when it comes to walking.
I’m currently reading Sabine’s book for the third time. I find it interesting both as a layperson eagerly seeking reliable information to aid my recovery, and as a biologist interested in the dynamics of biological systems such as the musculoskeletal system.
With this book, you’re getting a guide you won’t soon forget—one you’ll return to time and again for its core principles and to delve deeper into the recommended reading. You also have the opportunity to take a course with the author and attend additional workshops, allowing for personal interaction as well.
